Nephrotic Syndrome Overview

Nephrotic Syndrome (NS) is a group of clinical syndrome of Glomerular disease caused by various pathogenies and pathologic types. It is a nonspecific disorder in which the kidneys are damaged, causing them to increase glomerular basement membrane permeability, decrease glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and leak large amounts of protein (proteinuria at least 3.5 grams per day) from the blood into the urine.
